Nature Preserves

The scale and diversity of exotic wildlife are among the main reasons we keep coming back to this part of Florida and why we have now chosen to make a home here. Osprey, egret, heron, pelican, alligator, dolphin, manatee, wood stork and roseate spoonbill are just some of the species to be found amid the sub- tropical flora and fauna of this part of south west Florida

Preserving this rich heritage is something which is taken very seriously. Aquatic preserves in Fort Myers Beach and Pine Island, the esteemed J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island, and the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary near Bonita Springs, Manatee Park in Fort Myers and the Babcock Wilderness Adventure in North Fort Myers ensure that this heritage is preserved and nurtured.
